1. What is Tutoro and how does your online tutoring work? Tutoro offers tutoring for students of all grades. Our tutoring takes place online and is 100% flexible and reliable. We work with pen-enabled devices, digital whiteboards, and tried-and-tested materials.
2. Which subjects do you offer? We offer online tutoring in all standard school subjects, such as mathematics, German, English, French, physics, chemistry, biology, accounting, and many more. We also offer suitable support for students and trainees.
3. How does a free trial lesson work? It's simple: after initial contact, we agree on a suitable date and time. The trial lesson is free of charge and non-binding, and takes place online just like regular lessons. This gives the teacher and student a chance to get to know each other, work on school material together, and clarify any questions.
4. How much does online tutoring with Tutoro cost? Our prices are based on the desired number of lessons per week and the contract term. We offer individual lessons, group lessons, or our popular “best friend model” for two learners. 5. Can I change the subject or schedule flexibly? Yes! With Tutoro, you can change subjects at any time, even at short notice before tests. You can also book additional lessons or reschedule appointments if, for example, you are sick or traveling.
6. What happens if my child is sick or misses a lesson? No problem: if you cancel in good time, the lesson can be made up free of charge.
7. How does Tutoro differ from other tutoring providers? We work exclusively with trained, certified teachers who receive regular continuing education. Our online tutoring is state-of-the-art, including digital transcripts, interactive exercises, and personal feedback after each session. 8. What technical requirements does my child need? An internet-enabled device (laptop, PC, or tablet) is sufficient. Participation is via a link.

What parents look for in online tutoring and how we respond
1. Does online tutoring even work? My child needs personal support. We hear this concern often, which is precisely why we have designed our tutoring to be as interactive and personal as possible. Our teachers work with pen-enabled tablets and digital whiteboards so they can write live, just like on a real school blackboard.
2. My child has concentration problems. Is online tutoring even suitable for this? Yes, it's actually particularly well suited. In one-to-one lessons, there are no distractions and the teacher can focus fully on your child. Many of our teachers have experience with ADHD, motivation problems, or learning blocks and design their lessons to be active, varied, and clearly structured. Short sessions or regular breaks can also be planned.
3. We have had bad experiences with tutoring in the past. What makes you different? Our teachers undergo a rigorous selection process that includes subject-specific tests and pedagogical training. In addition, there are regular quality checks and feedback meetings. At Tutoro, the focus is on reliability, long-term progress, and genuine support, not just “working through the hours.”
4. What if my child doesn't get along with the teacher? This happens very rarely, but if it does, we will change the teacher without any complications and free of charge. We want the chemistry to be right, so we also offer specific subject combinations or certain teaching styles on request.
5. I'm not tech-savvy. Is it complicated? Not at all. We'll send you a link via email, and all you have to do is click on it. No installation or technical know-how required. If you do run into any issues, we're also available on weekends by phone or WhatsApp.
6. How secure is online teaching? Lessons take place in closed meetings with a certified teacher. Every teacher has also provided us with a clean police clearance certificate. There are no recordings, no open chats, and no third-party access. Sensitive data is processed in accordance with GDPR. All materials remain in a protected area, visible only to you.
7. How do you motivate students who are not really interested in tutoring? Many of our teachers are still young themselves, are studying to become teachers, or have just completed their studies, so they interact with the children on an equal footing. This often creates a very natural connection that doesn't feel like “school” but rather like working together. We also focus on individual goals, a culture of praise, and visible progress.
